Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I need a logo for my marine ecology and aquaculture lab based at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. My lab studies the early life stages of marine fish and how their development and behavior influence population dynamics on coral reefs (www.johnmajoris.com). While I study many reef fish species, a primary model for my research is the clownfish and studying how behavior, physiology, and morphology influence how far baby fish disperse away from home. I'm not married to clownfish being a central focus of the logo, but a coral reef fish would be great. I would like to see stylized designs that invoke fish development as they progress from egg to larva and back to settling on a coral reef as adults. Designs that would look nice on a blue, greens or other cool ocean themed colors t-shirts/hats are preferred.
*** Update: As a science lab, a focus on the accuracy of the fish illustration or silhouettes are important to me. Also please be sure you focus on coral reef fish, I will be shamed by colleagues if my logo has a freshwater fish silhouette. ***
