Business: Copy editing. Copy editors review the text that writers produce to correct errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Additionally, copy editors ensure that content follows style rules put in place by their employer to express an intended tone. Some copy editors are also required to do fact-checking or proofreading. We can do fiction, non-fiction, academic, and science and technology work. It can also be web content.
Logo concept: Should signify that we take a written product and make it better. It might include a pen, but it doesn't have to, since all editing is now done on a computer. The tag line "We refine. You shine." emphasizes that we polish their work, make it better, and put it into final form. It might be a book, it might be an electronic paper, it might be web content, so the logo should not make it look like it's only books, for example. Would prefer something minimalist but open to ideas. The logo should appeal to and be understood by writers of all genres.
Colors: no restrictions, although we like strong colors better then weak/pastel/washed-out colors. At least one option should be a blue/gray palette and another a gold (or parchment)/black palette.
Font: must be a native Windows font, an Adobe font, or available online WITHOUT COST.
