Tamale Gods logo
Icon-Design Kurzbeschreibung
First and foremost, I am only interested in designers who will work with me to perfect the logo. There will be a lot of back and forth. If you cannot accommodate this please do not accept this project.
Our business is called “Tamale Gods”.
We need a logo that ties the tamale, which dates back to 5000 BC, to mesoamerican/aztec/myan culture. Mixing these is fine as long as the logo is cohesive.
Here’s the initial direction:
Needs to be circular. The sun god circular disc in the provided images is almost exactly whit I’m looking for. That is the starting point. I like the. “X” in the design and the balance. (Inspiration images will be at bottom)
Needs to have the face of a male God. Neutral expression. Stylized more along the lines of a TIki god but still mesoamerican/aztec/myan.
Needs to include corn imagery in the design - pig, chicken and cow. As well as peppers. The God face/head needs to be able to stand alone, apart from the larger logo as an icon. These images will also be used on packaging to identify the variety of tamale. Again, all of these inspiration images to be included below.
Needs to include our company name “Tamale Gods” and our location “Deep Ellum” and the words need to be easy to read. I do not know how they will be incorporated until I see the logo.
Needs to be able to be reproduced in black and white.
Needs to be more simplistic than most of the circular imagery provided.
Color palette thought at the moment is yellow, green and purple or light blue. I am only interested in seeing black and white right now.
Additionally, it is important that the logo be recognizable without the wording and easy to use on social media profile pictures.
