Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Needing to create a new professional & simple logo for an electrical equipment distribution company located in Texas USA. Some mockups have already been created by a designer (See attachments) and we are looking to stay pretty close to these designs but open to ideas and interpretation. The logo design on the left hand side is inspired by the US Navy electronics warfare tech insignia. We would like to honor this insignia in the logo design without of course making an exact replica. Open to different designs to the stars or star orbit paths.
Any combination or new vision of the attached designs is welcome.
Keep in mind this logo will be used on company letterheads, business cards, uniform patches etc..
