I’m excited to work with you on crafting the logo for my skincare brand, BESHEL. Here’s a detailed overview of what I’m looking for to help guide the design:
✨ Brand Overview:
BESHEL is a clean, barrier-first skincare brand inspired by Korean beauty traditions—especially the value Korean mothers place on teaching skincare early. We target a younger demographic: ages 12–25, from tweens just starting their skincare journey to Gen Z young adults looking for effective, minimalist products that protect and nourish their skin from environmental stressors like pollution.
🌳 Name Inspiration: "Beshel"
The name “BESHEL” comes from the Eshel Tree—a tree mentioned in ancient texts that was known for its sheltering, protective, and nurturing qualities. It symbolizes hospitality, refuge, and comfort in harsh environments—just like our skincare, which protects young, sensitive skin from modern environmental aggressors.
I’d love if the logo could subtly nod to the symbolism of the Eshel tree—not literally a tree icon necessarily, but something that hints at protection, softness, or calm strength.
🎯 Target Aesthetic:
Our logo should feel modern, minimal, and clean, fitting in with brands like:
Byoma (playful minimalism)
Rhode (soft and sleek)
Drunk Elephant (fun yet sophisticated)
It should feel accessible but elevated, and not overly clinical or mature—we want young people to want to display it on their bathroom shelves or pull it out of their bag.
🖋️ Logo Requirements:
Simple, versatile wordmark (can be used across packaging, social media, and products)
Ideally all-caps or a stylized font that feels playful but polished
Must work well in both black and white and soft neutral colorways
Should evoke protection, simplicity, and modern Korean beauty values
