Label Design Brief – Gippsland Eggs

Overview
We’ve recently updated our logo (included in uploads) and are looking to develop a fresh, full-colour design for our 12-pack free-range egg cartons that features our new branding.
We’re a small, family-owned farm based in Gippsland, committed to ethical free-range farming and the welfare of our hens. We want the label to reflect our values — warm, relaxed, and down-to-earth — while also showcasing our better farming practices.
The design should be:
• Eye-catching and easy to read
• Genuine and inviting
• A reflection of a family business that cares deeply for its animals and customers

Legal Requirements – Must Include
The following elements must be clearly included on the carton design:
Front of Carton
• The words "12 Free Range Eggs" (prominent and easy to read)
• Chicken stocking density: "4000 chickens per hectare"
• Weight tick boxes with label: "Min Total Mass" with selections for:
o 600g
o 700g
o 800g
o 850g
• Best Before section (blank area to allow for date stamping)
• Nutrition panel (included in uploads)
• Product of Australia logo
Back of Carton
• The phrase: "Commercial reuse of this carton prohibited"
• Barcode
• “Please Recycle” logo
•. Facebook logo with @gippslandeggs and the QR code
