Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

British Women’s Group in Lagos, or BWG, is an organisation of British ladies who live in Lagos in Nigeria. The ladies come together to socialise, run book and crafts clubs, and above all support local charities by donating their time and skills. The organisation is 60 years old. It has a logo
With three ladies holding hands and the motto. Yeh logo is old, out of date, doesn’t even feature the name of the organisation nor does it show any link to the host country or city, ie Nigeria or Lagos. The colours of the three ladies in the logo are supposed to relate to Union Jack but I believe the shades are off. The logo is a good starting point but needs updating, modernising, has to be crisp and:
1) mention the name, ie British Women’s Group
2) has a link to Lagos
An attempt was made at modernising the logo and is attached: British isle with Union Jack and Nigerian flag colours added to the existing logo of three ladies. It’s too crude and too busy. I attach logos of other British women organisations around the world who have nice and compelling logos and can serve as a good example or inspiration. I know old members are very fond of the motto that is on the logo, ie Being Supportive, Working Together, Going Places. The first letters are BWG and for the acronym of the name. If there is any way to keep it and also spell out the actual name, ie British Women’s Group Lagos, that would be great. But I don’t know how to make it work without it being too busy.
