Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
About Us:
We are a Canadian wood flooring manufacturer with a deep commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and design integrity. Our company proudly operates two established brands — CRAFT Floors (www.craftfloor.com), known for its artisan-quality hardwoods and environmental leadership, and UrbanWood (www.urbanwoodfloor.com), valued by designers and builders for its reliability, performance, and contemporary versatility.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, we supply flooring across Canada and the United States, serving a wide network of architects, interior designers, and builders. Every product we create reflects our passion for natural materials, responsible manufacturing, and design excellence.
We are now expanding our portfolio with a new brand built on Wooddura™ waterproof hardwood technology — combining the beauty of real wood with advanced durability and ease of installation. We are developing a new premium brand for next-generation waterproof hardwood flooring, built on the proven Wooddura technology platform (https://www.hardenedwood.valingeflooring.com/woodura). This new brand will be part of the CRAFT Living group, serving architects, designers, and developers who want the warmth and authenticity of real wood, combined with modern performance and durability.
This new brand should fit seamlessly within our existing brand family — aligned with the design sophistication and quality standards of CRAFT Floors and UrbanWood, while establishing its own distinct and contemporary identity. ( see the logos for our other two brands attached). Also, attached are the brand guidelines for CRAFT -the premium brand.
The goal of this project is to explore brand name and logo concepts that convey elevated design, natural beauty, and advanced performance — positioning this as a new category distinct from both laminate and vinyl.
Core Product Advantages & Differentiators:
• Hardness & Durability: 3–5× harder than traditional hardwood — engineered to perform.
• Waterproof Technology: Certified waterproof performance, verified by third-party testing.
• Ease of Installation: Advanced click-lock system for faster, more secure installs — ideal for both professionals and premium DIY users.
• Sustainability: Maximizes raw material efficiency — up to 10× more flooring per log.
• Aesthetic Appeal: Real wood beauty with designer-curated colours and finishes.
• Lifestyle Choice: Worry-free living — pet- and family-friendly, scratch-resistant, easy to maintain.
• Customization: Commercial-grade finishes, oak options, nature and select grades (no knots), 8”/206mm width, and full 7’ plank lengths.
• Environmental Responsibility: FSC®-certified materials and sustainable sourcing.
Tone and Style:
The brand should feel modern, confident, and design-forward — a natural choice for contemporary interiors. Avoid “budget” or “DIY” visual cues. Think the clean, architectural sophistication of European design brands like Mafi, Poliform, Boffi, Cosentino.
Visual direction:
• Refined and minimalist — sans-serif typography, balanced proportions.
• Iconography (if any) should be subtle and symbolic
• Works seamlessly across packaging, digital, product labeling, and showroom signage.
The ideal brand should evoke ideas of:
• Design integrity – clean, architectural, and fashion-inspired aesthetics
• Strength and performance – waterproof, durable, engineered precision
• Natural connection – inspired by real wood, modern living, and interior design
This contest is intended as a creative exploration phase to generate fresh, brandable name ideas and logo concepts. Our agency will later refine and develop the chosen direction into a full brand identity system. We value originality, simplicity, and timeless design.
Please note: we need a new brand name and logo identity. Many people are using the brand name Wooddura! This is incorrect! We need a new brand name. Please do not recycle Wooddura or CRAFT!!!
