Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are hiring a designer to create a professional logo and brand identity for JJ’s Toolbox, an independently branded business that operates as a MAC Tools franchise.

About the business:
Owner: Jody Johnson
Business name: JJ’s Toolbox
Location: Wilmington, NC (coastal)
Business type: Mobile tool truck service (2 active trucks)
Schedule: Trucks operate Mon–Fri, visiting mechanic shops to sell tools directly to technicians/mechanics.
Brand personality: laid-back, approachable, dependable, strong customer service

Important context:
JJ’s Toolbox operates under MAC Tools, but is allowed to develop its own branding. The logo must work alongside MAC Tools branding or in situations where it is used instead of MAC branding on apparel, stickers, social media, etc.
The design should not look like the MAC Tools logo (avoid copying their shape/style), but it must still feel relevant to the automotive tool/truck industry.

What we need:
Primary logo for JJ’s Toolbox
Secondary/alternate logo (for small placements like hats, profile pics)
Icon/mark (can be used for stickers)

Logo usage:
T-shirts + hats
Stickers and decals
Tool truck graphics (possible future wrap)
Social media branding

Design style preference:
Clean, bold, masculine-friendly
Easy to read at a distance
Strong silhouette for printing
Can include tool/truck/coastal elements (optional)
No overly complex detail

Colors:
Open to designer recommendations. Coastal / nautical hints are okay but should stay professional.
