Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I'm looking for a logo for our Junior Sailing Program at Lavallette Yacht Club, which is located at the Jersey Shore in Lavallette, NJ. We want it to look "cool" and very kid friendly. This is a program where children will be competing in regattas and are ages 7-18, so we don't want anything to look to "childish" or immature. We want it to look sporty! I'm attaching our yacht club flag (or burgee), which can be used. I'm open to any other designs though too! If we want it to include a sailboat, for example. I'm also including a version of our "race shirts".... we like how this is a cool design with the "L".... if the wording LYC Junior Sailing can look a bit like this with the italicized and whatnot, I think that would be good. Our colors are red and white but I'm ok with using that turquoise!
