T-Shirt-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Bigfoot Guns and Ammo is a new firearms retailer in southern Oregon. We’re embracing the local Pacific Northwest Bigfoot/Sasquatch legend as part of our brand identity, blended with rugged American pride, outdoor heritage, and responsible gun culture.
We need original, print-ready artwork for:

Large designs for the back of t-shirts
Smaller, versatile designs for hats/caps (baseball, trucker, snapback styles)

The goal is to launch a strong visual identity that feels authentic to Oregon — mysterious, powerful, patriotic, and outdoorsy — without looking like generic web stock or cartoon ape art.
What do you need designed?

T-Shirt Back Designs (primary focus)
Large, high-impact graphics sized for approximately 12" wide × 14" tall adult back prints. These should work well for screen printing or DTG on both light and dark shirts.
Hat Designs
Compact graphics suitable for the front or left side of caps. Aim for roughly 3.5–5" wide maximum. These need to translate cleanly to embroidery, woven patches, or small screen/DTG prints.

You can submit multiple concepts/variations. We’re open to selecting several winning designs or working with one artist on a small series.
Design Style & Creative Direction:

Bigfoot / Sasquatch style: Authentic Oregon Bigfoot — tall, powerfully built, long-striding, covered in dark fur. Critical requirement: Do not use an ape-like or gorilla face. We want a more humanoid, rugged, mysterious, or noble facial character (strong presence, expressive eyes/brow, less simian muzzle). Think classic Pacific Northwest cryptid vibe mixed with gun/outdoor culture.
Key themes: American pride, distressed/vintage American flags (grunge or worn texture), Bigfoot actively shooting pistols or rifles (dynamic but empowering action poses), and store promotion/branding.
Overall feel: Rugged, proud, outdoorsy, slightly mysterious. Earthy tones, patriotic red/white/blue accents, camo or forest elements are welcome if they don’t clutter the design.
Unique & original only: No direct copies or heavy use of existing web/Bigfoot gun memes. AI-assisted creation is perfectly fine if the final concepts are original and refined for print.

Must-have elements:

Prominent shop name: “BIGFOOT GUNS AND AMMO” (or “Bigfoot Guns & Ammo”)
Optional supporting text ideas (artists can propose better): “Oregon’s Bigfoot Gun Shop” or short taglines like “Where Legends Meet Firepower” or “Stand Tall”. Keep text bold and readable — don’t overcrowd.
Distressed flag elements and/or firearm action (pistols and/or rifles) integrated naturally.

Do not want:

Overly crowded or intricate designs with tiny details that won’t print well.
Cartoonish, overly cute, or meme-style Bigfoot.
Heavy political slogans or text (we want broad appeal).
Purely ape/gorilla facial features.

Print & Technical Requirements (Very Important):
Designs must be print-friendly — bold shapes, strong contrast, clean lines, and good readability at actual print size. Avoid excessive fine lines, small text, or overly complex textures that break up on t-shirts or hats.

Preferred final files: Vector format (Adobe Illustrator .AI or .EPS with editable text and outlined strokes) or high-resolution raster (300+ DPI PNG).
Include color versions + a simplified black/white or single-color version for versatility.
T-shirt mockups (on both light and dark shirts) and hat mockups are highly encouraged and will help your submission stand out.
For hats: Simpler, bolder shapes that work for embroidery (fewer colors, clean edges).

Target audience:
Local southern Oregon gun owners, outdoorsmen and women, Bigfoot enthusiasts, patriots, and customers who appreciate quality, USA-made or USA-spirited products. Rugged, practical, proud aesthetic.

The art needs to feel genuine to the area and the lifestyle — not generic. We value clean, bold designs that will actually look great printed on apparel and help build brand recognition quickly.
