Icon-Design Kurzbeschreibung

ActionItem is an iOS app currently in development (see here for an early screenshot of the UI: https://twitter.com/Durbinware/status/435648520586932224/photo/1). This app makes it easier to take notes during meetings.

I am looking for an icon that will capture the essence of both note-taking & calendars. Perhaps a pencil icon over a calendar grid? I'm open to creativity. Please optimize the icon for iOS 7. It would be great if the colors could involve the same red (#ff0000) that's used in the screenshot link above.

The icon must be at least 1024x1024. Both psd and vector deliverables are required.
