Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for an Irish support group and charity called SOUND (Sufferers Of Unique Narcolepsy Disorder). The group provides support to families with children affected by the neurological sleep disorder, Narcolepsy, following the H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine called Pandemrix. The logo is to be used on their website, Facebook Page, Letterheads, and potentially pins/badges and posters.
Narcolepsy symptoms included Excessive Daytime Sleepiness, very disturbed night time sleep, Sleep Paralysis, nighttime hallucinations, weight gain, mood swings and often Cataplexy (a sudden onset of muscle weakness that can cause the sufferer to collapse and appear to be asleep, even though they are fully conscious. It is usually triggered by strong emotions such as laughter).
The logo should avoid obvious stereotypes and religious connotations. It could be just stylised text of the abbreviation S.O.U.N.D, but we would prefer a an appropriate graphic.
