We are a new recruitment agency based in Birmingham, UK called Soap Recruitment.
The founders of the business have extensive experience of working within the creative /digital and PR industries for the last 18 years. We are now bringing this experience to providing effective recruitment solutions of sales and marketing personnel to agencies and client-side organisations.
We require a new logo which will clearly differentiate Soap Recruitment in what is a very competitive sector.
We want our brand to portray a modern, progressive and funky company but without being too off the wall. It must be clean, fresh, distinctive and vibrant with a hint of playfulness - as per our personalities!
We have several key audiences that we need to influence:
Candidates - our brand must strike a chord with those people working in the creative and marketing industries and therefore we want candidates to feel a strong affinity with the brand and that they feel they have selected a recruitment agency which truly understands their chosen career.
Clients - both agencies and corporates - our agency clients will have a background in design, digital, PR, marketing, advertising etc so they will have an appreciation of good design. Therefore we want a logo which fits comfortably within the creative industries environment and which will have a high degree of relevance to the agency owner that we have a deep understanding of this sector. It would be nice for agency folk to have a sneaking admiration of our logo.
For our corporate clients - we will be working with clients of all sizes from SMEs right up to multi-national corporates. We want our corporate clients to feel that we stand out from all the other recruitment agencies because we specialise in sales and marketing recruitment and that our brand is modern and reflective of the creative industries and also professional.
In the main we are dealing with agency owners, managing directors, marketing directors and marketing managers.
The logo must also include a distinctive graphic icon which must be able to work alongside the logo incorporating the business name but which must also be able to act as a standalone graphic illustration with no reference of the business name.

Hi Everyone,
I have uploaded a powerpoint file to the brief which provides at-a-glance an overview of the sort of brands that we will be competing against in the UK market.
As I mentioned in our brief, the UK recruitment sector for agencies specialising in creative, digital and marketing jobs is highly competitive, so having a brand that is professional, creative and distinctive is key to standing out in this market.

Hello Again,
We've had a few submissions that have used a bar of Soap as a key element in the logo design - obviously our brand name lends itself well to such imagery! However, we have given this some consideration and have decided that we would prefer not to have soap bars in the logo as we feel it can look a bit twee and we don't want to give the impression we are selling soap/bathroom products.
However, we are happy for the use of bubbles in the logo element just so long as they are used in moderation and depicted in a modern, fresh and progressive way.
