T-Shirt-Design Kurzbeschreibung
Amnesty International is the world’s largest independent human rights organisation. The Australian branch is seeking your help to promote and defend human rights.
AI Australia’s online shop is managed by our merchandise team, which produces range of products each year for people to buy, wear and use in order to support our cause and spread our message.
Our range includes between four and six T-shirts each year.
Last year we decided to try the DesignCrowd website to source some designs. We received a great response and chose four designs that sold extremely well. We only have 13 shirts left of the 300 shirts that were printed with these designs and they have helped raise $8,500.00 for
our organisation.
I would like to thank everyone who participated in last years design competition and also the staff at DesignCrowd who have created a great way for us to get designs and who were so supportive of us.
Now, time to get down to business.
Once again we are looking for some designs that people will be happy to wear any day of the week – not just to a protest.
Our T-shirt customers are of all ages and are generally looking for something contemporary. It could be street art style or retro or just designing something around our logo. We would prefer the design to be based on a cool picture, with little or no text needed to explain the message. If you need text in your design, we would be looking for something witty or text that makes people think, not just the standard quote that has been done so many times over the last fifty years.
We would like designs that refer to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights or that relate to the core message of human rights and Amnesty International. Remember that while the push for freedom is a major part of what we do, it is not all we do, so designs on a variety of topics would be great.
We have only a short time to get some great designs – so we encourage you to get started.
For more information about Amnesty International and to get an idea of our branding, visit our web site www.amnesty.org.au or our Online shop www.amnesty.org.au/shop.
I have attached our logo and some pictures of last years designs to give you an idea of what we are looking for.
Successful designs may be used globally – taking your design to the world!

After looking at the designs that we have received so far, Iam starting to think that we were not clear in the design brief. We havereceived 91 designs at the moment and am only happy with about six of them.
We are looking for a design that is mainly a picture thatgives of a message or that promotes our logo in an original, up-to-date, coolway. A shirt that says Amnesty International without just writing AmnestyInternational.
Here is a saying - "The pen is mightier than the sword"
Why don't you use this saying and create a great picturethat depicts this quote instead of just writing it on a t-shirt.
Remember that Amnesty International is an organisation thatstands up for human rights, we write letters, we free prisoners, we believe infreedom of association, we believe that everyone is born equal and so on.
Have a look at this link to the Universal Declaration ofHuman Rights and try to understand what human rights are.

Last year we picked a design that was just some words thatsaid “Fighting Bad Guys Since 1961”. These words were simple, true, a bit funnyand that t-shirt was one of our best sellers last year.
I am sorry, but I will be eliminating a number of thedesigns because they are not what we are looking for.
We would like to thank you all for submitting the designsand giving some of your time to our organisation. We look forward to receivingsome new designs from you.
Regards,
Merchandise Department

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I have extended the deadline by 7 days to give everyone a bit more time to come up with something original and cool for our organisation.
We will be really happy if we can get three designs that are as good as the shirts that we printed last year.
Thank you,
