I do like the elephant.  As for feedback, all I can say is that we are trying to get a style as much like the image I posted, with a sports/college mascot look & feel.

I do like the eyes very much.  The rest may be too similar.

Apologies if my comments seem contradictory, hard to express in words that we want a similar logo, that is different enough to make our own.  I think the basic shape and size is good.  I think the changes are in the details, shading within ears, eye shape, position of the trunk, etc.  I hope this is helpful.
