Etikett-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a bottle label (logo) design for a new mead product as part of our Laughing Bones Brewing Co. brand. There are two parts to this project. We need a logo design for the mead product which is placed on the front of a bottle wrap that has additional information on the back of the label.

Laughing Bones Brewing Co. is a New Zealand craft beer brand that is expanding its product range to a new mead product.

Mead is an ancient honey based alcoholic beverage ranging between beer and wine. Mead has many different sub-styles. Our strategy is to position mead primarily to the beer drinkers.

Note: Most meads in New Zealand today are packaged and promoted as a “honey wine”. We want to break away from this positioning. We will be using bottles that are much more in tune with the beer industry.

Label dimensions: Approximately 80mm high and 150mm wide for the entire label which wraps around the bottle. The main graphic that will be visible on the front is approximately 50mm wide.

Our strategy is to position mead primarily to the beer drinkers.

Target age group 25 – 50. We want the label to:

• Represent the brand Laughing Bones Brewing Co.
• Establish a recognizable “Mead” product offering within our brand
• Be classy and playful, highlight “mead” (not honey) as the product
• Sit comfortably on a shelf amongst beer labels and not look out of place but be distinguished from beer (and greatly distinguished from wine)
• Flexible - be a master template for our complete mead range where styles and flavor names and graphics can be added in as new products are commercialized
