- Designed in 1991 during the Persian Gulf War.
- “Armada” name was chosen to summon to mind the inspiring notions of teamwork, confidence, purpose, strength and resolve, which became the ideals that define Armada’s culture today.
- Ship icons were incorporated to represent the US naval ships that stood guard off the coast of Kuwait.
