Infografik-Design Kurzbeschreibung
We need to have an Infographic designed that displays statistics about the energy sector in Saudi Arabia.
We are an exhibitions organiser but we only want to link it back to the exhibition, Saudi Energy, by including our logo in the corner under the title 'Created by' (the logo is attached). The rest of the information and design needs to be entirely related to the industry and not the exhibition at all.
The objective of the Infographic is to convey the hard facts about a serious topic in an easy to digest manner. I have attached a word document with a few Infographic designs that we like.
We are using the Infographic for digital designs only so please make sure the Infographic fits onto a web screen easily and there is no need to scroll to see the information but other than that we are relatively flexible on the size.
The content is as follows but please feel free to interpret the content rather than copy word for word:
- Electricity consumption in Saudi Arabia increased sharply during the 1990–2010 period due to rapid economic development. Peak loads reached nearly 24 GW in 2001—25 times their 1975 level-and are expected to approach 60 GW by 2023
- The investment needed to meet this demand may exceed $90 billion. Consequently, there is an urgent need to develop energy conservation policies for sustainable development
- Generation capacity is approximately 55 GW. A looming energy shortage requires Saudi Arabia to increase its capacity. Capacity is planned to be increased to 120 GW by 2020.
- The government has approved the construction of a $300 million facility to turn waste into energy. The facility will process 180 tons of waste per day, producing 6 MW of electricity and 250,000 US gallons (950 m3) of distilled water.
- If energy conservation is successful, demand can be reduced by 5–10%. This is equivalent to 3–6 GW of additional capacity, which represents a possible $1.5–3.0 billion saving over 20 years.
- Saudi Arabia, has said it hopes to generate solar power of up to 41GW by 2032, or 30 per cent of peak power demand. That is almost double the current capacity of Germany, the world’s leading solar power.
- Saudi Arabia will invest in 17 new nuclear reactors in next 20 years.
- Saline Water Conversion Corporation needs to increase desalinated water supply to 8.5m cubic metres a day by 2025
- Saudi Arabia is building the world’s largest solar-powered desalination plant at Khafji, which will produce 30,000 cubic metres a day of water once it is completed in the next two years. All power and water plants built from 2020 onwards will run on solar energy, KACST’s Prince Turki said.
- Construction projects worth $75.6bn in Saudi Arabia during 2014, over 10% increase from 2013, $195.4 billion worth of construction planned in Saudi Arabia in the coming three years, and a further over $1 trillion worth of projects planned or under construction
Feel free to post any questions about this project and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I look forward to seeing your designs!
