Broschüren-Design Kurzbeschreibung
We want a 4-color report that highlights the findings of a 2-part news and public opinion study. Such a report can be boring, so we would like it somewhat appealing to a variety of audiences. Audience members will be:
• American Indian tribal officials
• Fish and wildlife biologists
• US government officials
Goal is to have the report mailed in an envelope that can be sent USA first-class postage, but larger than the regulation #10 envelope. In the USA a larger first class envelope cannot be larger than:
6-1/8 inches high x 11-1/2 inches long x 1/4 inch thick
(For more information see
http://pe.usps.com/businessmail101/mailcharacteristics/letters.htm)
MY PREFRENCE is the 6x9 envelope, which still qualifies for first class. A folded brochure is just fine.
The artwork is open (but MUST be copyright free) and should appeal to an educated, mature audience. This is a scientific report, and while it should be tasteful, it’s fine to have some impact and visual appeal.
I RECEIVED THE following tip from a designer for copyright free images. Here is the message:
Corps of Engineers digital visual library:

images.google.com
append "site:.gov" to the end of the query to only return images gathered from federal and state websites.
Artwork should not offend American Indian professionals, who are subject to stereotyping in media communication. A good example of tasteful communication can be seen at the website of the Columbia River Intertribal Fish Commission:
