Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
The Australian banana industry's national conference is held every two years and we need a logo for our next event, being held June 17 - 20, 2015 in Melbourne, Victoria.
The event is called the Banana Industry Congress. It is the premier event for Australia's banana industry and in 2015 will be held in a capital city, Melbourne, for the first time. It is the eleventh Congress held and the previous events have been held in regional locations.
Banana Industry Congress delegates are mainly banana growers as well as industry partners (wholesalers, retailers, input suppliers, transporters, research scientists) and the event promotes a collective approach to industry issues.
At our previous event, we used an Australian Bananas marketing image as our logo. While we like the look and feel of the Australian Bananas material we would like a logo specific to this event.
The event theme is Change Challenge Opportunity. We would like to see a logo that:
+ reflects the theme and communicates strength, resilience, unity and innovation
+ uses the banana industry's colours of green and yellow (in keeping with the colour of the fruit - green ripening to yellow)
+ has a simple, fresh contemporary look
+ may (but doesn't have to) borrow elements from the Australian Bananas marketing material but is not a straight "lift".

Thank you very much for your designs so far.
We are pleased with the quality and have now changed the status of this job to non-refundable as we are very keen to finalise our logo.
I have supplied individual comments to each designer and if any of you would like to resubmit with changes based on the feedback that would be appreciated.
The committee assessing the logo likes the designs which have so far used contemporary graphics and fonts, bold rather than organic-shaped fonts, bolder colours and strong green and yellow colours to emphasis the "change" element of the theme (changing from unripe to ripe).

There is an update to the text required. If you are submitting or re-submitting further designs please note, we would like the word "Australian" added to the text. That is "Australian Banana Industry Congress 2015 Change Challenge Opportunity"
If you have already made your submission, no need to add this unless we contact you directly.
Our committee continues to assess design submissions and the preference is for modern and bold use of colours and fonts and the use of three elements, such as three bananas or three banana clusters or hands to reflect the three elements of the theme - Change Challenge Opportunity.
