serious, hard working designers out here.
We have all had bad experiences with Non-Guaranteed
projects,most designers have discovered that
even after spending long hours of our time on the work
itself and after several refinement requests
from the client we still receive no payment,
no feedback & no winner of the contest is declared.
Most of the non-guaranteed projects not only get
extended time after time for periods of up to
3 months & more but in the end the
clients request a refund and have collected
enough ideas to take our work and go get the
job done by a local Graphics Designer in their
area. We have seen this happen over and over
again! If you would like serious designer’s
participation would you please guarantee the
project out of respect for all of us .

Thank you for explaining the problem designers have. I was surprised that such things happened in the designer market and I agree with you that's a terrible practice that discourage creativity.

The reason I made the payment not-guarantee is because this is the 1st time I use DesignCrowd, and I really have no sense of what level of designer participation or quality I can get. I also do this on behalf of my company, so I need to give them some comfort that they will get a good design for the money spent.

After this 1st time with DesignCrowd, when I can get some comfort that design quality is good, I'll take more risk by making payment guarantee in following projects. We do have other design projects coming along because every time we complete an investment, we will design T-shirts to give as gifts to people.
