Ah, ignore this contest - there are people that supposedly have more than 4000 likes. Yeah right.
Seriously, it is too easy to manipulate if you spend enough money. And looking at the "winning" entries, it has NOTHING to do with good design.
Hi Jo,
I went through the minimum requirements and just wanted to ask a few things.
1. I have created something using some downloaded fonts. When I add the CMYK colours on the they look fine.
When I add Pantone colours to them they freak out completely and the are already CURVED/OUTLINED.
These fonts are crucial to the design. If I change them I might as well change the whole design.
2. Why do you need the vector files to be uploaded? This is a personal project that I am working on and have changed elements to fit into your design brief. I would appreciate it if this artwork was not duplicated as I am using it for my own personal use. Can the submission be made without the vector files or the confirmation that they will not be used for any other projects? I can understand that you would like to see that the artwork was indeed created and not copied from somewhere but I would prefer to keep ownership of my work in this case.
3. If you can please get back to me regarding the above so I can submit, alternatively I will create something else.
Thank you
Regards
I was about to design somethin when i read the whole briefing... ridiculous. What kind of design contest is based on how many friends vote you?
I mean, if i submit a picture of a lovely dog and i have a bunch of friends i'll win this!
That makes so much sense, yeah...
I have uploaded my image and can't see my image....what URL are you supposed to copy and paste where?
I uploaded my image to my own FB page and I see no submissions of any images on your FB page?
A bit confusing????
I've posted my design on your facebook page and the only way I could have my friends, family and clients see it is if I shared it. Is that what I am supposed to do? I can see that the likes are coming on the file that I shared I just don't know if you can see it??
agreed.
I have posted a photo NOT the link on the DesignCrowd facebook. It doesn't make sense that we have to paste the special url link on DesignCrowd's facebook then tell people to click on it, which will then redirect them to DesignCrowd, then it is there people must 'like'. If a designer's photo is posted on the designcrowd facebook, that is where people should 'like'; no redirection to the designcrowd site. It just defeats the whole purpose of getting clients/family/friends to 'like' on facebook itself.
Anyway, I'm getting my mates to 'like' my photos on both the facebook and special url designcrowd link.
It's all very confusing.
yeah i agree with you here! it's mucked up! it defeats the whole purpose of promoting on facebook because in order to 'like' using this method involves the person being redirected to these pages. designers should post their photo on the designcrowd facebook and it is there that people should like the designs! no redirect links, purely facebook likes using facebook itself!
Hi,
I have uploaded my designs in Design Crowd and Facebook , Looking forward to see some comment.
Thanks !
Jit
Hi Jo, I have an important question.
What are the likes you count ?
The likes of the URL submission post, on Facebook, or the likes at the top right of the design description, on DesignCrowd ?
I think it's the first, but you know, I did my best to win, and it would be a waste of time if I was wrong.
