Just a short note to DC crew.

I did submit a design to your project just for the fun of it.

No real professional designer would be caught dead on Facebook unless he wants to become the laughing stock of his professional circle.
I am one of those professional designers so my design will not be shown on Facebook as a part of your viral campaign and, obviously, I won't be getting any 'likes' or awards.
I am fine with that.

Good luck to all who are fighting for 'likes' and prizes.

Cheers,
Splash

The focus in here seems to be polarised around how many 'likes' a designer can acquire on Facebook, with a number of complaints about it - some of which I share - however most who have posted a comment seem to have missed the mention of the more critical prize, which is equal in value to the facebook fan prize.

I have three questions for DC:

1. Why are the designs remaining hidden during the deciding process? (That is not usually the case. Once a contest is closed we can usually see other competitors' work);

2. How are designers to showcase their entries to interested potential clients if their contest submissions are hidden, and as they are hidden how can a design attract invitations - the platform for the alternative prize?

3. Given that our designs remain hidden, would Design Crowd mind kindly enlightening entrants as to how it is intended that the entries be showcased to attract invitations, in order to win the alternative prize?

@ Lorikeet - I am not all THAT new to DC and appreciate that many queries are not responded to, but then again many are - is luck of the draw I guess. Given that there are hundreds of contests with thousands of queries posted daily to respond to, (many of which are a waste of space), I would not like the job of having to sift through all the rats and mice to provide warranted answers. It is only to be expected that many are going to be missed.

Nevertheless, I really can't work out how the prize for the entry which attracts the most invitations can be established while the entries are hidden!

Hi again DC. While I am in here, I may as well post another query which relates to the DC web site features, pertinent to this contest, specifically the prize for the entry which wins the most invitations, namely $1,000.

I don't know if it is relevant to how you will enumerate the invitations won per entry, but I have noticed that none of my invitations are appearing on my "Invitations" page. In other words the technology which registers them to be listed on that page is not talking to the technology which sends them to my email box or which sends them to my "Notifications" page. Also, there is a further inconsistency - some come into my email inbox and don't show up on my "Notifications" page, while others show up on my "Notifications" page but don't come into my email inbox.

With these discrepancies in the registration of invitations coming through the system, I wonder whether accurate enumeration of invitations will be possible for the purposes of this contest?
