Thanks for the reply. Design is everything you see (look & feel, images, etc), the coding is all 'backend' programming - this is the technical part that allows the website to function.

Normally people do the design of the website separate to the coding in a project brief such as this (and budget).

I will start designing in the meantime.

Coding costs can vary depending on the website design itself, number of pages etc.
But generally speaking, for a brief like yours, I assume it would be a lower cost (perhaps a few hundred dollers) - all depends on what people quote etc.

So in your case right now - we can concentrate on the design aspect, what the website is going to look like, etc as this will ultimately be your 1st point of contact with your potential buyers etc.

I will submit designs as soon as possible for your to review.
