Discovery Associates is a new company located in Arkansas that needs a new logo. We provide two types of services to startups - 1) in-depth market research: to help them understand the needs of their customers, determine market size for future sales, assess competitive products and how their product will fit (what their value proposition will be), how they should price their product etc. AND 2) Grant Writing: we partner with new technology businesses to write government grants to help get government funding for new companies, and we prepare business plans that these new businesses can take to investors to get funding (based on sound market research, financial projections etc). So in a nutshell, we support startups by helping them understand the market, developing a Go-to-Market strategy for them, and helping them to get funding to execute on this strategy and make their business dreams come true!

For anyone that wants to participate in another contest I am holding for product logos under this company brand, please search for a job called "Polish Clip Art Logos" ... I was going to do three separate contests, but after more careful consideration, decided that the same person probably needs to do all three since they will be advertised together.

My target market is startup companies. I have tended to work primarily for biotech, pharmaceutical and high tech companies in the past. These are usually small businesses where the owner is a professor that has developed a novel technology and wants to create a business, or a company that is very young and is just getting started with sales and needs sales support. Much less frequently, but not impossible, I would work with a large company.

- I have a pretty open mind on this one. I don't want playful, but I don't want boring either.
Schön zu haben
- I like the idea of something that conveys growth, since we are helping startups grow. There is a tree logo that I included in my attachment that I like that incorporates hands (showing care, personal touch). I've also seen hands holding a plant that is interesting ... maybe something that conveys growth from a sprout to a tree??? Not that it has to be this in any way ... just a random idea. I don't want all tree or plant options to consider, but this might be something to think about.
