Hello,

Do you have any examples of what you mean with regard to the curved edges of the map? I assume you mean a rolled out map as opposed to a globe? Do you mean a rolled out map, photographed with perspective?

Thanks,

Tom.

So by not beveled do you mean not 3d at all? a soft shade/shadow can be done in 2D programs.

Thanks and btw I'm working on it in 3d now (beveled map)

Trying to create a similar image but unique at the same time... But I need it from a Northern hemispheres perspective as well... 2 images...

Does this help

Does this help.... So definitely not beveled.... I definitely mean soft shade.... In that case you can do it in your 2D program... I didn't realize that you could...

Thanks

Yes it helps, I understand now (at least for the first pic) and it probably can't be done in 2d please see my entries and feedback me so I can fix it or know if it is what you are looking for.

Thanks just looking at your submission.. I think it works for what I am thinking.. I was thinking that I needed two images now I am thinking that this perspective would work for both... so yep.. we are close... just need the countries completely white and the shading just near the edges of the borders of the countries with the rest of the image white... I am trying to create a very sharp... simple image where there isn't too much going on..
