Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a new logo for a luxury retail business based in Nairobi, Kenya, called APRELLE. Previously, we have been using the name APRELLEDUANY. The interest in rebranding stems from the concept that “APRELLE” will be more attractive and differentiated from most self-named brands (i.e., Michael Kors, Vera Wang, and Jessica Simpson). The hope is that is will project a status of greatness and superiority due to a single name (similar to Prince, Beyoncé, and Sting). In the effort of rebranding, we want to identify if simplifying the name to APRELLE will better convey a message of exclusivity and appeal.

It is essential that the logo conveys affluence, sophistication, and the mystery associated with African heritage. We DO NOT want typical representations of Africa in the design of the logo, this includes reference to safaris, animals, or crafty fonts. The African inspiring link with our luxury brand and its heritage should reflect and incorporate an element of African fractals. Fractals are characterized by the repetition of similar patterns at ever-diminishing scales. Please see the following link on more information about African Fractals:

Our brand essence will compete with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Fendi, and Hermes. Researching those brands' essence will be helpful to create the desired brand logo.

Find attached our current logo, as well as the logos of brands that appeal to our aesthetic. Our brand colors are black, white, and gold. The final logo should communicate luxury, heritage, absolute quality, and mystery.
