Mass adoption of smart phones and iPhones has eased many of the day-to-day challenges of communication. Not just a telephone, smart phones are also used for e-mail and text communications. However, this three-pronged approach to communication (voice, text, e-mail) has also created redundancy and inefficiency when trying to schedule a social meeting.

Toucanect is a mobile social scheduler which enables users to schedule social meetings simply by choosing their contact and meeting date. The application automatically sends out the request across multiple channels and the recipient then merely has to confirm or cancel the meeting. In this way, two connect with one another efficiently and easily. Meetings are then scheduled in a proprietary scheduling system for tracking and updates. Toucanect is where Evite meets Outlook for the iPhone.

The user experience is simple. Users select their contact, choose their date, and send the meeting request. Recipients can then confirm or cancel the request. Confirmed meetings are then stored in a proprietary scheduling system for tracking and updates.

Toucanect will initially be targeted to the “mom” market. Moms are often responsible for personal, social, work and family scheduling so the simplicity of Toucanect will help them stay better connected and the family schedule more organized.
