Web-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are currently building a web application in JAVA. The application uses a combination of a HTML template and CSS for the look and feel. We currenly have a very corporate look and feel for demo puposes, but we need to have some CSS designs that we can show to prospective customers. One of the functionalities of our application is the possibility to upload a customer's own (CSS) design in the application.

Our first customer is a high school in The Netherlands (12-18 year students) for children who are physically challenged. So the design should be easy to read, buttons should be easy to see, read and click and the different parts/texts on the website shouldn't be too close together. At the same time, we would like to avoid too much scrolling (especially horizontally). Go with a minimun screen resolution of 1024 x 768.

As our users are children, nice colours and other fun elements would be nice, while keeping a 'school like' appearance. Please use pictures and icons that our users will relate too. We want to communicate that our software is easy, fun and at the same time professional.

Our product is based on Google Apps by Google and thus Google applications as Gmail, Calendar, Google Docs etc are all integrated in our software solution.

Find attached a static HTML file that contains our current CSS design. This should be used as a basis as it contains al the CSS elements that are used in the application. Please note that jQuery (javascript) knowledge is necessary.

Zielmarkt/( -märkte)

Students at high school (age group 12/13 to 17/18). Users have physical disabilities that sometimes means they need special equipment/tools to operate their laptop.
