Poster-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a design for a 18"w by 24" high full-color poster (to be eventually printed on Sintra Board). The final chosen design must be provided in hi-resolution format (min 300 dpi).

The poster will be displayed in U.S. law schools and will promote our online law school bookstore LawBooksForLess.com.

Our audience is usually aged 22-26 years old, please keep this in mind that these are, for all intents and purposes, adults, so avoid designs that are overly juvenile or geared towards teenagers or children. The design should be fun and creative, but still mature.

We need to design a poster that will:

1) Catch the eye of busy passerby with one or two larger main design elements, that will entice them to approach and read more, AND

2) be fun and creative.

Although we will consider ANY design ideas, our preference is for a "retro" design that harks back to advertisements from the 1950s and 1960s.

We have provided a PDF (attached) some retro poster designs we like, but this document is for reference only, to give you an idea of what we might like in general.

Sollte nicht haben

• Don't make the design too busy or crammed with too many distracting elements (either text or pictures).
  
  Remember, it's not a magazine advertisement that someone will turn too and pay attention to immediately- it needs to attract attention from a distance and when it may be surrounded by other distracting posters or objects- so if it a) has a bright or interesting backround design, and b) contains only one or two large main elements (text or pictures) that initially attract the attention, that would be best.
  
  If you try to cram in too many elements, all relatively the same size, that jumble together, the poster will usually go unnoticed by passerby.
