Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design for Blue Strand Consulting, LLC. We are a IT consulting group. We are currently working on a couple of projects, one creating a MRP (manufacturing resource planning) software package and two managing the software development of some medical packages.

Basically, my thoughts on naming the group Blue Strand is two fold. One being the blue strand among the white strands is a reminder of our integrity while the second is the thought of a river (blue strand) flowing through a desert place. Everywhere the blue strand goes, the landscape surrounding the river is lush while the area not touched by the blue strand is desert, weird how that works. I'm leaning more to the second idea, since that's where my imagination can go is making the S look like a river flowing into the foreground...?, however, I'm open to other options. I'd like the name spelled out either in the logo or in its vicinity. I'd like some additional words in small print below in the logo Text
