Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
I need a professional yet fun logo which is in the form of a cartoon and represents Motor Cycling Tours in New Zealand.
I envision a cartoon (so you need to be really good at drawing cartons) Kiwi bird (the national bird of New Zealand) riding on a touring motor cycle and somewhere the New Zealand flag. It should make people smile and must funny and fun yet professional and naturally of a high quality! Think wild coyote vs road runner style image. :-) .... With this basic outline let you mind run wild. The only mandatory colours are blue, red, white for the flag naturally :-) and brown (for the kiwi) .... Other colours as you think works. People seeing the logo should feel happy and like its holiday time on a motor cycle.
DESIGN STYLE CATEGORIES

I am interested in seeing two design style categories which I have defined as ( 'Clean and Simplistic Look' and 'Adventure Look'):
Clean and Simplistic Look

For the 'Clean and Simplistic Look', try to to make the bike and kiwi fit in to the following feeling:
Not too much detail in the design. Less cartoon detail style. E.g. the old Road Runner vs Coyote level of detail.

Adventure Look

For the 'Adventure Look', try to to make the bike and kiwi fit in to the following feeling:
More Detail in the design. More modern cartoon style.
Think how you would feel (as the KIWI) after riding 50,000 kms, seeing lots of beautiful places having lots of memories. But also think how you would feel and look (both you as the 'kiwi' and your bike) after traveling many sealed roads and going through mud, dirt, dust, rain, all types of terrain and everything is really well used …including you. Nothing is clean. You have really seen the world on this bike. You are really happy, but you are now a tougher person, because you have toughed out some long wet days, hot temperatures and have repaired your trusty bike more times than you can remember. You have been sleeping in a tent for 3 months now. Everything is working perfectly on your bike but everything is well used. Well travelled.

and as a PNG file for the Bottom 3rd of my Google+ Hangouts and Google Fan Page.
Also I need a SIMPLER version as a Favicon...Maybe just a portion of the original logon which people can instantly relate back to the original logo.

Motor Cycle Type

make the motor cycle look more like a BMW GS 1200 Adventure bike (See project pictures)
add a sense of speed.
the key bits in these pictures are:
Cylinder heads - On this style of motor cycle the cylinders stick out on both sides. If you google BMW GS1200, you’ll see what I mean.
Pannier Bags - All adventure motor cyclists identify with the bags on the sides immediately. So add these box style bags and put something on the bags that looks like a sticker (again see photos)

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I have extended the days for submitting designs as I am about to change to 'Payment Committed'. By changing to 'Payment Committed' I hope to increase the number of quality designs and wish to give current and future designers sufficient time to submit their best work.

Hello Designers
I'd like to say a big thanks for all the work you all are doing. For sure you all have great talent!!
Due to the number and variety of designs received, I have now been able to clarify in my own mind two very different design style categories which I am interested in. I would like to clarify these two design style categories for you, as they are very different and I am interested in BOTH and ONLY these. Everything else I am not invested in. So I hope this clarifies what I am looking for :-)
To see a description of design style categories, please refer back to the initial Project Description. I have added a new section titled 'DESIGN STYLE CATEGORIES'
After saying I am interested in TWO very different design styles, if you prefer you can chose to focus just on one . Doing this will not penalize you in anyway, because right now I am not sure which I will go with.
Any questions, please let me know.

Hello Designers,
I have selected three designs which I find are most representative of what Kiwi Motor Cycle Tours is about.
I have requested a number of people in the Motor Cycle Community to provide their opinion on which design appeals most to them.
Once I receive the feedback from the community, I will hopefully have a clear indication of which design I should use and therefore will be able to confirm if it is your design.
I will make the final decision tomorrow (10th of June)

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: Hello all,
Many thanks for all the great designs which were submitted. The quality was outstanding.
I have started a poll with those designs which I believe to be most representative of what Kiwi Motor Cycles is about. I have also extended the deadline for 3 more days. The extension has been made to allow my target market a few additiional days to vote on each design.
I look forward to letting you know by the end of this week which design I will be selecting.
