Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I am starting a new company that delivers coaching, mentoring, facilitation, training and consulting services. The name of the company is Firefly Dance.

I need a logo design and following that some design for basic business stationery (invoices, business cards, Word and PPT mastheads / templates, email signatures, etc.) and website. I would like to start with the logo and once I am happy with that, move onto the other items.

I have two taglines that I am playing around with:
Turning on Potential
Outperform Yourself

I am not sure that I will use them but they might help in the design process.

Here is a quick outline of some rough copy I am writing about the company:
Short Summary:
Some people just seem more alive. They'e enthusiastic, passionate. They out-perform even their own best guest about what's possible. Firefly-Dance is all about igniting your growth, extending your horizons, and allowing you to dance in the moment - whatever is happening around you. It's about leaping over "good enough" to get to the fullest potential each of us has to excel.

Longer Profile:
In more than 15 years in global, corporate business, I have seen few thrive and most just survive. Working in strategy, marketing, and product management roles in the fast-paced IT sector, I've seen some initiatives achieve astonishing success, and many more just fade away after the initial launch.

Apart from a basic soundness in approach which is common to most programmes, the only difference between the successes and the failures is in the people and teams behind each. Having developed and managed many projects, I've seen firsthand that it's the "who" that makes things work.

Through Firefly-Dance, I offer coaching, mentoring, facilitation, training, interim management, and consulting services. In all these, my philosophy is that great success comes about when people are inspired, growing and taking on challenges that make them "buzz" with excitement.

I am based in Dubai and can deliver coaching and mentoring services remotely through Skype calls. If you are based in Dubai, we can work face to face and for other locations, I can work through conference calls and travel to your site as is needed.

Thank you to all who have sent a design through already. Just a couple of points of clarification based on some of the responses:

Design:

1. I would like the logo to evoke the sense of movement and dance... more the idea of freedom than actual dancing

2. Since the business is addressing both business and end consumers, I need the logo to appeal to both.

Scope:

3. At this stage I am only looking for a logo - when I am happy with that I will brief in and pay for additional design items.

Thank you to all the wonderful designers who sent in ideas and designs for the Firefly Dance logo. Each had something interesting, compelling and interpretive about it. Thank you to those of you who responded to all my comments and suggestions for change - sometimes these worked out great and sometimes not; where they didn't I am sure the fault is mine. It has been great working with all of you. The designs were all so good that I had a hard time choosing from among them and ran a poll on LinkedIn to get input from my contacts. I've made my choice now but I can honestly say that from the final set, all of the logos could have worked out for me.
