Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

SlopeEdge is a new community website. We write stories and create videos of our skiing experiences, in an effort to help promote the great ski resorts in Canada, as well as help our visitors learn more about them and what they truly offer.

We document our experiences, and adventures, skiing the mountains, talking about the ski trails, the challenge, what makes the different ski resorts unique and more.

We also do some limited content during the summer months with cycling and other related activities, but overall the focus of the site and logo is skiing in the winter.

You can visit our site to see what we are about. www.SlopeEdge.ca . The site will gain momentum and activity starting in November with the beginning of the new ski season.

The new logo would take a more typical size and shape (along the lines of a 4x3 ratio) as compared to our existing logo. (which is shaped more like a banner). This has limited us in incorporating our logo on our ski jackets and more, which is also our goal for this new logo.

Ideally the logo should be on a transparent background, so we can be flexible if it is placed on webpages that aren't perfectly white.

As well, if it looked good being displayed onto of a black background, so we could incorporate it into the opening of our videos as well.

I'm looking for a logo that perhaps has a stylized SlopeEdge incorporated in it. Maybe a mountain, or snow. Or the path left in snow from passing skis, the swoosh. The colour choices should incorporate some blue and white, but not limited to those colours. Please no bright colours.

These are just ideas but are what i am thinking I'd like to see.

The "SlopeEdge.ca" is important and should appear in the logo.

• It should look professional, simple and clever but not too minimal.
  Ideally someone should look at it and name aside, be able to tell it has to do with skiing, or snow.
  The name SlopeEdge.ca must appear in the logo.
  Must have the colours white and blue used as they are generally soft and the site has alot of white and blue.

Schön zu haben

• Use of colours blue and white.

Sollte nicht haben

• Too many colours. Be overly busy or cluttered.
