Hi Designers! Thought I'd better post an update. Thank you to those of you who have submitted designs already. I do appreciate your effort and commitment to the project. BIG NEWS: I haven't actually seen a design that really 'grabs me' yet, so ***I've BOOSTED the 1st place payment by $100 and added a $110 second place prize ***. I've also extended the deadline by 5 days. AND I've added some more detail to the brief below, I hope it helps! Please Read!! - If you are including the website address in the design, perhaps on the shorts or jersey side panels, or sleeve cuffs, please display it as MTBtips.com. - I am looking for a jersey where the background colour(s) blend, match or at least compliment the shorts. - The design will be produced using sublimated print, so go Graphic!! - Any colour can be used. The main colours do not need to be black, yellow and white. The MTB TIPS chainring logo must be included in the design, and I would prefer it at least on the front and back of the jersey. - The 'singlet' part of the shorts - the bib section - doesn't need a design/colour on it. The bib section is covered by the jersey, so it can just be black or white or whatever background colour you decide. - The website's tagline is 'The Web's Best Mountain Biking Tips and Techniques'. You may wish to include this in your design. - I also like the slogan 'Supercharged for Singletrack' which has been used in a previous MTBtips t-shirt design. You may wish to include this slogan in your design, perhaps around the jersey collar. - The jersey itself has a full length hidden zipper at front. - Do whatever you like with the logo. You can throw it on a shield with some other Hand Drawn graphics or embellishments, like some of the awesome t-shirt designs I have seen in portfolios, stick it in front of a supercharger intake, etc. whatever! - perhaps disregard the example files of other designs I've scooped of the net...!! - You may wish to include Youtube, Facebook and Twitter logos on the jersey somewhere, perhaps discretely, rather than in the main chest design. - I'm looking forward to seeing something modern, attractive, stylish and somewhat bold, yet not overdone. ****** I've added some NEW files of jersey designs from the net that I like. These files are only added to perhaps give some inspiration, but you need not use any of those design features at all. Here's what I like about each design: - Tiger Fire jersey: I like the fire bit, but I don't need a tiger! - Mountain peak jersey: I love the style of the red and black and white, and how the design uses the 'chest to sleeve' and 'back panel to sleeve' joins well. I like how it's not a symmetrical design. - Butte 100 jersey: I like the mountain graphic bit on the back of the jersey. - Scott jersey: I like the boldness and asymmetry of the design, including different sleeves, and use of fading. - If you've got some big awesome T-shirt type graphic design that includes the logo for the chest and/or back panel, please don't feel like you 'have to' go nuts everywhere else with colours and fancy bits...(I've seen some damn good hand drawn/graphic designs in some of your t-shirt portfolios!!) Hi Designers! Update No.2 **I've just uploaded another file: 'Crossroad-wolf-jersey'. Please check it out. Like the other jersey designs I've uploaded for inspiration, this design includes some features that we like, but don't feel like you 'must' copy/use these features. They just might help with inspiration, that's all. We certainly don't need a wolf on our jersey!!, but we do like the combination of graphic (the wolf) that grabs your attention, together with the asymmetrical lines/pattern. The front black section more or less 'wraps' around to the back, with the help of a black side panel. And the front white section wraps to the back with the help of a white side panel. The small sponsor logos, or whatever they are on the front and back look good, too. There's a small touch of flames, as well, which is almost always cool! (On some designs, the sponsor logos make them look overdone and crowded!!) If you feel some 'sponsor-looking' logos might improve the look of your design, you may wish to create and include some logos around some or all of the slogans 'Supercharged for Singletrack', 'Fast Standing Still - Speedwear Designs', 'Groover Industries', or the Youtube, Facebook and Twitter logos. You can also add your personal design logo, too, if you wish! If you're the contest winner and if we like how your personal logo compliments the design, we'll print it! Any questions? Hi Designers, I just noticed that some of the edit I did to my project brief a few days ago has not appeared. (I mustn't have saved my changes correctly or something...)
