It contains at the root snconsole.exe which just a windows wrapper around jars\client\snconsole.jar

You should be able to just launch the jar on osx and use the demo, demo, demo.intermine.biz to connect to the demo server...

doesnt work.. because osx allows to install java apps only from trusted third party or what.. :-/

ah, that old chestnut. i think you are right that apple does not like or trust oracle these days. there are a couple of options, fire up virtualbox or some other virtualizer and run windows or allow unsigned jars to run on ur mac...

Yes, it has changed again.  For the last time.

The template has changed, turns out the one I initially selected was not the best one to go with.  Checkout http://intermine.com with the Frontrow template, this is why I love the squarespace platform.  It frees me from being tied to a design.

What I am still looking for is the icons to represent the products.  I like what has been presented so far and its going to be a hard choice to pick between them.  I really like what the http://designers.designcrowd.com/designer/27791/mnm design guys have done with the icons.  I am also impressed with the http://designers.designcrowd.com/designer/62303/fuxxo-works designs for the website with the previous Flatron template.  If I was going to close the competition they would be my picks for 3rd and 2nd places.

I know I have stuffed people around and not been as responsive as I should have been.  Sorry about that and I have kicked 2nd place to $3000 to match what was awarded for the first-past-the-post design.  Even at these numbers its still much more cost effective than the last 2 website redesigns.

There are some screenshots in this file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/db3fc57369c2uwl/screenshots.zip for you to work with.  You can also download the console from https://www.dropbox.com/s/4rp5ftkz5fhw54d/SNConsole.zip and run the snconsole.jar file in the jars\client directory to connect to the demo server.  The username is demo - The password is demo - The server is demo.intermine.biz - be aware - you have to allow "unsigned java" on the osx platform to get the console to run.  Windows users dont need to jump through that hoop if you are looking for additional materials for the design.

We are attending the http://www.cebit.com.au/conferences/big-data conference in Sydney at the end of next week so this will be the final. final. extension as I want the new website graphics and icons running for the show...

Hi I'm having trouble with squarspace. Isn't it possible I can just create a layout on an image, instead of wasting time on squarespace? I've already designed the components for the site but I have no clue about squarespace...
or is it really necessary to use it...

Also do you want that circular image on the front page redone? the Datamanagement with filecensus one?
I would also create buttons for all the clickable categories on the newest page.

So you only want a lay out for the first page as a sample with new graphics, etc?

I can't use squarespace, it would be easier for me to scribble up some code to get the layout myself
and host it somewhere else. Or just make an image? Would it be possible to make a basic design
and have it hosted elsewhere? I'll do the coding, its nothing fancy, but its easier for me than trying to figure out
where to click to get a control of things in squarespace...

Please let me know I've put a lot of effort into this so far!
