WordPress-Design Kurzbeschreibung
Hey everyone,
I am moving my blog from TypePad to Wordpress, so I figured I would also re-design the look at the same time. The old blog is at www.manadeprived.com. The website is on Magic: the Gathering, a collectible card game. Every weekday, I post up one or two articles by my writers who talk about the strategy of the game. The main page should show 5 articles.
We need a layered PSD that I will find someone later to convert to a Wordpress theme. As for the current banner of the site, that can be ignored as I look towards a completely fresh start. The PSD of our old logo can be found here: http://mtg-canada.com/images/Mana%20D%20Logo.psd.
-UPDATE- New logo being designed right now.
We are about to sign a contract with http://www.facetofacegames.com/ who will be our exclusive sponsor going forward. There should be some sign that Mana Deprived is "Powered by Face to Face Games". Feel free to use their logo.
As for the actual design, go crazy. I feel all the current major sites (starcitygames.com, channelfireball.com, tcgplayer.com) try to do too much. I just want something simple, but a whole lot sleeker than what I currently have. Do not try to copy what I currently have.
If price needs to be increased for this job, feel free to let me know.
After checking some designs for other contests, I think I want buttons with icons for the top menu. Top menu should be: Home / Store / Articles / Videos / Podcasts / Events.

Reason: Sorry for the delay in deciding the winner everyone. Some people have said that they will be submitting and need more time. I also haven't had enough time to give the current submissions the proper feedback that I wish to give.
I am also in the midst of redesigning the logo of our site, which is something I want to see incorporated in the winner's design.

- One thing the blog should keep from the old one is the icy-blue feel. I like that. A section called "This Week on Mana D" which lists the articles published during the week. People should be able to easily follow me on Twitter.

- One of the more famous blogs on Magic: the Gathering is Channel Fireball (http://www.channelfireball.com/category/home/). I want to make a note that I feel that website has way too much going and would not want something like that. I also do not want one of those "rotating panels". www.quietspeculation.com that also uses that and I do not like the look. It is pretty but not useful.
