Web-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a web design for a new brand of annual software development conference hosted in Riga, Latvia. Previously we used this page http://javaday.lv/ and we also have a small concept over here http://www.javaday.tk/. It is possible to view the content from past years there. It will not change radically next year.

Due to organisational changes we are rebranding the conference to 'Riga Dev Day' therefore we need a new web site and logo. Logo could be just 'RIGA DEV DAY' letters with proper font and font color selected, but if you like you could go creative. We also have a mobile app, which will be branded according to the designed web site afterwards. This is purely software development conference, so the web site visitors are techies. It will contain standard conference information such as schedule, speakers info, announcements, photos etc. The intention of this project is to create a design, which would attract people by ensuring that content quality would be on a high level.

The design should be modern, simple and without clutter. The design is intended to be responsive. The entry location should make accent on the conference date (22 of January, 2015) and some kind of short slogan (5-6 words max). Page should have initial wow effect for technical geeks.

Conference is organised by several local user groups (JUG Latvia, GDG Riga, LVOUG). Logos are attached. These are organisers, not sponsors.
