Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Djibouti is a small and new restaurant/ bar location in Hong Kong. The name "Djibouti" derives from an African country. There is no specific reason behind other than the fact, that the bar is somewhat inspired by African elements (only inspired but not purely based on African cuisine etc.).

The bar is somewhat a fusion of African, Mediterranean and Oriental (Old French Vietnam) elements.

However, it is very imperative to stress, that the overall look and feel of Djibouti is a very high end cocktail lounge/ bar location. The bar is tucked away in a hidden alley, so people will have to know about it. The idea is to send the consumer off in an Escape or hidden remote location where they are at ease in a hip, stylish and trendy environment.

The logo should consist of a fun and high end looking visual embedding the above direction......but it cannot be too playful as we also attract serious business people.

We also don't mind if the logo has a retro touch to it.

It would also be great, if we could somewhat incorporate something monkey like in the logo. We are very keen on the Mandrill monkey. It has great colors on its face. However, we do not want the logo be too literal with a monkey visual. In our neighborhood were Djibouti is, there is another restaurant called "Three Monkeys". I have also attached a logo from them. They are literally using monkeys and we want to make sure that people don't think that we are copying them although their cuisine is exclusively Japanese only. Our logo can be Mandrill Monkey inspired but it is not a must.

I have also attached a few other logos that we like.
