Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We are in the process of re-branding our post secondary college. First on the list is a new logo, which will be followed shortly thereafter by new flyers, business cards, one sheeters, folders, etc.

The school is called CBD College (www.cbd.edu). It offers 5 different programs, all in the health care field. The logo should convey "education", "university" and "health care industry", but we absolutely cannot use any design that incorporates the medical cross or crosses in general at all. No crosses, plus signs, etc. Additionally, the shield we use currently can and should be replaced as well.

It's probably worth looking over the competition as well to see how others do things: American Career College, UEI College, Concorde College.

Color scheme is up for grabs. Fonts are up for grabs too though the current one is acceptable as well.

Attached is an image of the signage outside the school. Obviously the logo will change, but ideally the font you select should not clash too much with what you see here.
