Hi, is it any subtext that you are looking for like a slogan to put in the insignia?

Hiya.

If you could give me a little more info in regards to how you came about choosing the names for your products (Sceptre and Eris), that would help inspire a concept for your logo's.

Cheers
Annette

Hello!
One question.. do you want the logos have the save concept or totally different style [based on the brief of course]?
Thank you!

No. Not in the sense of a slogan or descriptive phrase. That's what makes it more difficulty simple than just emulating an old record label. The label probably said, "Name" Records and had song titles. This has to stand alone, in that respect. Think of it on a t-shirt or an embroidered badge or a sticker.

Our president came up with the idea of naming our new speaker lines with the names of classic record labels.
Trouble is, most are still protected trademarks.
Sceptre was about the only one free (and we misspelled it at that to weasel around potential objections.)
At that point, we realized that almost any name could be "made" into a classic record label with the right graphic treatment. So we selected a non-trademarked name from a list of heavenly bodies - Eris is recently-discovered faux planet out past Neptune and Uranus. It's discovery partially contributed to Pluto being "de-listed" as an official planet.
In Greek mythology, Eris is the goddess of chaos and strife.

No. The less resemblance the better. If they really were classic record labels, they would have originated in different cities and different times by promoters with totally different tastes (or none at all if you check out some of the examples in the Google and Pinterest sample pages mentioned in the brief).

It's 1959. What would a crass, cigar-smoking, ex-wrestling promoter, now managing what they hope will be a hot rock and roll band choose for a record label logo? Who would they go to to have it designed?

Feed back is appreciated and helpful. Thank you.

Hi,
What are the more significant differences between the two products? Is there a relationship between the chosen names and the technical specification?
Thanks.

Sceptre is a line of premium studio monitors with special technology. Eris are "entry level". Good value but no special technology.

Thanks,
