CD-Cover-Design Kurzbeschreibung

Hi all

I am planning on releasing my first album for online distribution shortly. I have chosen the tracks that I want to put in it. You can listen to them through my set "The Best of Bruce": http://soundcloud.com/cropleyb/sets/the-best-of-bruce

I am not particularly happy with the name "The Best Of Bruce", so I have created a competition to find a better album name. Anyone is welcome to enter. The best two entries will win a free copy of the album when it comes out:

The album name competition will end on December 17.
If you have a design idea before that time, feel free to submit that as well as the album name. You can send as many ideas as you like.
After the album name is decided upon, this will be like a normal design competition.
I am planning on distributing the album online through MondoTunes.
According to mondotunes.com: "Submitted cover art must be 1500 x 1500 pixels jpg. It cannot be blurry or pixilated and must be perfectly square."
The artwork should probably contain something like "by Bruce Cropley" as well as the title.
MondoTunes make choose to make a CD version of the album, but I believe they use the .jpg file to generate that.

I have added a couple of photos that you may or may not want to use. One is of me, the other is of my "studio", most of which is my laptop. :)

Hi everyone

Thanks to all those who entered.

I received many suggestions, and the decision was tough.

Eventually I decided on "Modal Podal" as the name.
It is the name of one of the pieces on the album: http://soundcloud.com/cropleyb/modalpodal

Hopefully this will draw in the audience that will appreciate my quirky music.

The runners up were "The Sounds Of" and "A New World". Both of these two were submitted by Design Cloud participants.
I will organise a copy of the album to be sent to those people once the album comes out.

For background, the "Modal" part of the name was from the musical concept of a mode, being an arrangement of a series of notes (scale). "Podal" was my way of expressing a dismissive attitude to that - sort of like "Who needs conventional music theory".
