ServicePulse is a brand name we have just registered.

ServicePulse is a website and IT performance dashboard for managers. It takes data from IT and website monitoring systems and presents it to managers so that they can have a real time view of how their systems are performing. Kind of like Google Analytics on steroids.

Most technical monitoring tools have poor reporting systems. To overcome this, managers will often get their technical people to build performance reports for them using the data that comes from the technical monitoring tools and analysed and then build the reports with BI tools like Cognos or Business Objects. They can analyse the data and produce charts and plots of system performance. The problem is these tools are not easy to use and expensive.
We were recently asked to develop something like this for a customer to allow their non-technical and product managers to see how their production web sites were performing in real time and how the different device/location profile users were experiencing site and application performance. These managers needed to understand customer experience in real time as they were releasing new products.
The system we built is a cloud-based solution that captures information relating to the performance of a site or online application. At the heart of the systems is a unique business intelligence layer we developed that can efficiently store large quantities of performance data and analyse and retrieve query results very quickly, making it suitable for managers with slow devices or low speed network connections. It's on our website (www.primoris.com.au) and currently called PrimeView. It is very easy to use and the images we want to promote for it are simplicity and elegance.
