Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

I am a freelance medical writer and my job involves writing and editing for medical communications agencies and pharmaceutical companies. The types of projects that I undertake include writing research articles, reviews, conference abstracts and speaker slides.

I require a logo for my business: en dash communications. The logo needs to be suitable for use on business cards, a company website, company stationery, etc.

The company is named after a punctuation mark: an en dash is a type of hyphen that you use between number ranges. It is separate from a hyphen (used for hyphenating words) and an em dash (used for a pause in thought). A writer would (should!) know the difference, so the name is a bit of a play on accuracy/attention to detail...

Anforderungen

Muss haben

• I would like the logo to be simple, uncluttered and easily recognisable. It should also convey the following attributes: professionalism, accuracy, attention to detail, scientific. The logo (which should include the company name) should be crisp and fresh. I will require the RGB codes for any major colours used (so that I can carry the colours into my website).
  
  

Schön zu haben

• Designers could consider using greens and blues (science-type colours?), but this is not essential. Designers may wish to include the en dash symbol (similar to a hyphen but longer) within the logo design.

Sollte nicht haben

• I am not a medical doctor so I do not want the logo to include images such as caduceus, a red cross, a stethoscope, etc.
