Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung

We need a logo design to update our current logo for our church located in a suburb of Atlanta Georgia. We are a suburban church located in the middle of housing subdivisions. Our church consists of a wide range of ages, races, and nationalities. We want our new church building and logo to have the feel of familiarity. People should feel as if they would be at home with our family. We want a sophisticated look instead of a "folksy" appeal. We are concerned about having conversations that matter in our lives, being a place that people can trust, and a group that people will want to join as we help the neighborhood around us.
We would like to see a subtle cross in the design possibly negative space cross. The overarching idea we want from the logo is acceptance and love as we reach out to the world around us.
We want to move away from our old logo. The church website is
