Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
Great V8 is dedicated to providing V8 SuperCar experiences in Australia and New Zealand - people get to drive one on a racetrack, or they choose to be a passenger as a professional racing driver takes them around the track.
We require a versatile logo that is suitable for web, print and promotional items such as baseball caps, clothing and can coolers.
If you are not familiar with V8 SuperCars, please go to Google.com.au and search "V8 supercars" under the images tab.
We do not deal with Formula One or such vehicles, so please make yourself familiar with the sport and the cars used :)
Traditionally the great rivalry has been between Ford and Holden (an Australian arm of General Motors) - and the associated colours have been blue for Ford, red for Holden. We would be interested in seeing designs that incorporate these colours, but as the modern races have many more makes of cars involved, this is not an absolute must have.
As the design will be used on many formats, it should work well on any colour background.
Overall, the most important element is the name: Great V8
And we are happy for you to present that as Great V8 or GreatV8 or GREATV8 as long as our name is clear and it works well with your colours and design.
UPDATE: We would like Great V8 to be presented horizontally only.
Please throw as many questions as you need our way - we should be able to respond within 24 hours over the duration of the contest.
We've added a couple of images just so that you get a feel of the cars and the sport and when you do your own research, you'll know you're looking at the right vehicles!

Hello all,
We have just added a profile view of a V8 Supercar as we know that some of you are using a car as part of your logo.
Please note how they are not sleek, curvy vehicles - they are more muscle.
Our clientele would not be impressed with an elegant car being part of the logo.

Thank you to everyone who submitted designs - it's really made for an interesting contest.
We would have loved to have been to provide more individual feedback and broad updates, but unfortunately life has thrown up more work than we expected to have during this period. Despite not being able to give constant updates, we'd nevertheless like you all to know that your efforts have been appreciated.
