Hi everyone and thanks for all the designs so far.
Currently there's 194 designs uploaded. I began to reply to everyone yesterday but even more have been uploaded overnight. I think I'm on a different time zone to most of you so if I don't get back to you straight away it's probably because I'm asleep.
I think I have made a mistake in running this for 15 days. I thought that most people would be away for holidays at this time of year so went for the maximum. This is my first experience with DesignCrowd or making a logo in general so I apologise in advance if I'm not offering enough feedback.
As for the logo, I'm really impressed with the designs. I'm not a fan of the cartoon like monkey/ape designs so much. They are a bit fluffy. I don't mind the more serious gorillas. My target market is hardcore video gamers and arty TV and designer types. The laptops and peripherals I will be selling are the fastest in the world with the best GFX cards. You know the gamers stereotype, a bit dark, don't leave the house :) Maybe left wing and listens to Metallica or Tool. A lot of my video editor friends are similar and Gen x like myself. Some are hardcore techno heads.
I want the company to be cool to teenagers too but not alienate their parents as they might be forking out the cash for the computers.
A lot of gaming websites use neon colours (just like the neon tubing colours in desktop computers that have a side window and let you look inside). I don't want the red colour but neon blue or green is preferred. A logo incorporating that and reflective shine or mirror off the floor is also an option.
I hope this gives you more of an idea of what I'm looking for. Some of you have already given me this. Thanks

- We would like a simple design that will fit in alongside other brand logos like Apple or Alienware. You can incorporate a gorilla in the design but it must be subtle and not too angry looking. Strong but not angry.
An option is to leave out the word "computers" and just have"Kong". We are also throwing around the idea of adding in text underneath that reads "high powered computing".
Neon green or neon blue is also a possibility as some of the computers we will sell use it in their logos. See www.metabox.com.au for ideas. (check out the neon green rubik cube style logo)
We are open to fresh ideas as well if you have some brain wave about kong. I want kong to be strong, reliable, but inviting and user friendly also. Most of all, simple.
Schön zu haben
- I'm a fan of the Che Guevara style silhouette and especially like the green in his face on the attached file. I also wish to create a website & business card that incorporates the star background look of the 2nd attached file. Instead of blue and black background, have green and black, and only the top half, so it's a semi circle.
