Thanks to all designers who have been submitting to our project. Most of the designs are a little too modern and professional. I would rather have a more vintage casual feel. Please view the files I attached to the project for ideas. This logo will be going on the side of a mobile retail truck so it has to be very eye catching, original and not be mistaken for the wrong kind of business.

There hasn''t been any designs that have conveyed that this is a mobile retail truck, yet. If anyone has a design that represents being on the road and stays within the focus of vintage americana..we would love to see it!

Hello Everyone- Thank you for being patient as we figure out our course going forward. As I stated before, an already established clothing store that sells all american made items decided to change their name from Mettlers America to Stars & Stripes Ltd. It was clearly underhanded, as our trademark has not been approved yet and because they are an established business, our legal counsel says it would be a costly court battle to pursue the name. Not to be deterred, we are changing our name and going forward with this campaign! I am excited because I have gotten some really cool designs that I think can easily be modified to the new name and I am looking forward to seeing what else you guys can come up with. I understand that Thanksgiving is this week and I will be willing to extend the deadline again to allow more submissions if we don''t get enough over the holiday. I also understand that Thanksgiving has no effect on some of you outside of the States :) Once again, I sincerely apologize for this setback and thank all who have been submitting their great ideas! We are interested in incorporating the story behind the "Old Glory" flag that our company is being named after. "Old Glory" was a flag owned by a Sea Captain in the 1800s and he actually had an anchor sewn into one of the canton''s on the flag, so we would like to see some designs with an anchor incorporated into the logo somewhere. We will provide feedback when we find designs that are on the right track. Thanks!

Hello All- I have attached a couple of files of the original "Old Glory" flag that is in the Smithsonian museum and a nautical flag that is usually on the back of a boat. Some were asking for an example of anchors. By no means to I want either of these examples copied but please try tying in the significance of the anchor. We think it would be a very cool aspect of our logo. Thanks!
