Logo-Design Kurzbeschreibung
I need a logo for a new home inspection business called "Burnside Home Inspections", based in suburban Adelaide, South Australia.
'Burnside' is the name of one of Adelaide's local inner city council areas which includes around 30 suburbs. Burnside is an upper-middle class area, so quality is a consideration, but I don't want to limit the business to just that area. The council and main shopping area logos often include tree or leaf symbolism to reflect its 'leafy character' (ie within a generally dry mediterranean climate):

The business itself will initially be offering pre-purchase inspections of existing properties for prospective house buyers. It is concerned with building science, materials and structural integrity, NOT valuation or sales. My background is in architecture, which could itself be some type of design reference if that works. Abstract house/roof symbolism may be OK, but definitely no magnifying glasses!
As for colour, I'm open to suggestions, although I do like blue and I've heard that it works well psychologically for marketing purposes.
Overall, the logo would need to convey quality, reliability, professionalism etc.

I am a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), who also design logos for their members.
